There are a large number of mounts available in World of Warcraft, and more are added to the game on a regular basis. The total is currently around 200, although that includes different color variations on the same mount model. Mounts speed up travel through the world and are highly coveted possessions within Azeroth. Most of the mounts in World of Warcraft are listed here, but there are likely still some missing, or some that have been discontinued.
A single character can collect many different mounts, and flying mounts were introduced with the Burning Crusade expansion. There are numerous ways to acquire a mount; they can be purchased from vendors, earned through PvP, or won as drops from certain bosses, to name a few.
Racial Mounts
The first mount most players purchase is a racial mount, which increases your speed significantly over walking. These become available at level 20 and require the Apprentice riding skill (75). Racial mounts can be purchased at a vendor near the race's capital city. If you want to purchase a mount from a race other than that of your character, you need to reach exalted reputation with that race's faction. At level 40 with Journeyman riding skill (150) characters can purchase an 'epic' ground mount which increases their speed even more.

Class Mounts
Some classes in World of Warcraft can obtain a special mount by completing quests that become available at certain levels. With the release of Wrath of the Lich King, alternatives to the more complicated quests have been offered, and several have been made easier.
Achievement Ground Mounts
Some mounts can be acquired through the Achievement system that was introduced just prior to the Wrath of the Lich King expansion.
Reputation Reward Ground Mounts
Reputation rewards give you an alternative to standard ground mounts if you want transportation that looks a little different. Earning reputation with certain factions allows you to purchase special items from vendors associated with that faction.
Dalaran Vendor Mounts
Mei Francis, the exotic mount vendor in Dalaran, has several ground mounts for sale. The Wooly Mammoth requires Marks of Heroism rather than gold, and the Traveler's Tundra Mammoth has special features that make it very expensive.

Loot/Quest Ground Mounts
Some of the bosses and quests in World of Warcraft can also yield mounts. These mounts tend to be relatively rare, as there is only a chance that a defeated boss will drop one.
Crafted Ground Mounts
Some mounts can be crafted by characters with the engineering and tailoring professions. Most of them are flying mounts usable only by those with a high enough skill in one of those professions, but these ground mounts are also available. They require Journeyman or higher riding skill.
Argent Tournament Mounts
Argent Tournament mounts can be earned by completing Argent Tournament quests in Icecrown, Northrend. These quests award Champion's Seals that can be used, along with gold, to purchase these mounts. The amount of gold needed can be reduced with reputation.

Flying Mounts
World of Warcraft's first expansion, The Burning Crusade, introduced flying mounts into the game. They require level 70 and Expert riding skill (225). Epic flying mounts are faster than standard flying mounts and require Artisan riding skill (300). To use a flying mount in Northrend, you need to learn the Cold Weather Flying skill from the trainer in Dalaran.

Reputation Reward Flying Mounts
Reputation rewards give you an alternative to Gryphons and Windriders if you want transportation that looks a little different. Earning reputation with certain factions allows you to purchase special items from vendors associated with that faction.

Some of the bosses and quests in World of Warcraft can also yield mounts. These mounts tend to be relatively rare, as there is only a chance that a defeated boss will drop one.
Achievement Flying Mounts
World of Warcraft now has quite a few flying mounts that are rewarded for reaching certain milestones within the game's Achievement system.
Crafted Flying Mounts
Characters with the engineering or tailoring profession can learn to craft a few devices that serve as flying transportation. Right now these include flying carpets made by tailors, flying machines made by engineers, and a vial crafted by alchemists that teaches you to summon a Drake.
PvP Mounts
Mounts are also offered as rewards for player vs. player (PvP) combat in World of Warcraft. Marks of Honor earned from participating in Battlegrounds can be used to purchase some mounts. Others can be acquired by accruing reputation in PvP zones or obtaining a high rank in game's PvP arenas.

Talbuk Mounts
Rewards for fighting in Halaa, the PvP portion of Nagrand. To purchase one you will need to collect Halaa Battle Tokens and Halaa Research Tokens.

Mammoth mounts are earned by fighting in Wintergrasp, the PvP zone introduced with the Wrath of the Lich King expansion.
Alterac Valley Mounts
An Alterac Valley mount can now be purchased for 50 Alterac Marks of Honor, earned by playing the Alterac Valley Battleground.
Arena Reward Mounts
For each season of the arena competition in World of Warcraft, a mount is rewarded to the top tier of players. Windows settings won t open. The mounts from earlier arena seasons can no longer be acquired, although you may see other characters with them in the game.
Aquatic Mounts
With patch 3.1 World of Warcraft's first aquatic mount was introduced. It can't fly and has no effect on ground speed, but it increases speed in water by 60 percent. This mount is caught by fishing in Northrend fishing pools.
World Event Mounts
Seasonal world events present opportunities to acquire unusual mounts or temporarily change the appearance of your mount.
Special Mounts
Certain mounts are only available through the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game (TCG) or promotional events such as BlizzCon.

Hi All,
I only have time for one character in wow. I currently have a 110 hunter that I boosted, a human.
I really want it to be a void elf hunter, with the heritage armor set and void pet.
Is the best way to do this, 1) unlock void elves on human hunter 2) make level 20 void elf hunter and level it to 110?
If I did this I would get rid of the Human Hunter (have a bit of OCD with characters on the screen, unless I play them, needing to be deleted)
Would I be able to get the Hunter class mount and artifact skins on the MM artifact (not gonna try spell that!) in time before BFA on my void elf character that I'm leveling?
Bluetooth vmware guameguard not run. How long does levelling take nowadays? I would have heirlooms..
Weird questions but appreciate any help.
